Regional Connectivity
The Corvallis Area Metropolitan Planning Organization's (CAMPO) planning area is only 2-5 miles away from the Albany Area Metropolitan Planning Organization's (AAMPO) planning area. While these organizations serve to facilitate continuing, cooperative, and comprehensive regional planning within their respective metropolitan areas and each group of communities faces issues unique to their specific geographies, the region as a whole is closely connected through housing, transportation, and local economy.
The Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments (OCWCOG) provides administrative services and staffing to both MPOs. Staff from the two MPOs are housed together in OCWCOG's Community and Economic Development Department and collaborate on joint planning efforts when doing so is beneficial.
